2D Seismic Navigation System
Shotpoint Generation
Event closures can be generated along pre-plotted lines based upon either distance or time. Pre-plotted lines can be shot in segments or re-shot in the event of a circle.
This screen dump shows the helmsman’s display, available in locations remote from the navigation station on the vessel e.g. the wheelhouse, shooting shack and observer stations.
P2/94
Raw data is logged to the NaviPac database, and can be exported in several ASCII formats, including UKOOA P2/94 to meet industry standards.
Header data
Seismic User header data is generated using the NCS SubSea proprietary Eider header
utility. Positioning data is accepted from NaviPac and source data from the following
synchronizers;
FFID
A unique Field File Identifier is generated at each event based upon the last digit of the year, the Julian Day and an event number.
The initial event number based upon the number of seconds since mid-night GMT. Subsequent event number increment by one until the system is shut down, at which point the event number calculations are reset.
